Descriptions: Myself and Matt decided long ago that we wanted to enter the 7th annual film festival held at Art Institute of Schaumburg called Artimation. Our goal was to make a stand that the Graphic Design majors could very well enter and compete in a very video & animation filled world. That said, we decided to do a typographical motion graphic piece to one of The Hush Sound`s songs. We love the band, we love typography, we love design, and we love motion graphics. Heavily inspired by motion graphics studio MK12, we decided to try our shot at it. Keep in mind that this was our first ever After Effects project. We taught ourselves the application just to get a submission in. Four days straight went into this bad boy, with necessary 5:00am McDonald`s Breakfast stops. In the end, we missed our deadline by several hours. To top it off, it`s NOWHERE NEAR as polished off and finished as we want it to be. We plan on finishing this for sure. Next yea...

Descriptions: This is a project I did for type class. We were to choose 2 typographers and explain how they effected each other. I choose Wim Crouwel from the 20th century and the design group, Buro Destruct, from the 21st century. I used After Effects for this animation.

Descriptions: I used SWiSHMax to create this video, but I needed to use a screen capture tool (the reason for that watermark in the corner) to actually export it as Swish wasn`t allowing me to export it right, it kept coming out monochrome and all the text inverted. Anyway, here it is. Took some time to make. My first time trying anything like this. Hope to do more, perhaps learn after effects. It`d be a lot more powerful. C&C Welcome.
